Seal integrity is a high priority concern for all food manufacturers, it is an important factor in order not to compromise the shelf life of products and especially in modified atmosphere packaged products.

In most food production facilities leaks in packages mainly occur due to mechanical problems related to the pressure, heat and duration of the sealing process or to food contaminating the seal. With an on-line leak solution from PBI-Dansensor both types of leak problems can easily be found either on-line or off-line.

PBI-Dansensor has a leak detection program that offers both in-line and off-line leak detection of modified atmosphere packages and whole shipping crates. 

PBI-Dansensor has developed an innovative and compact in-line non-destructive test system making it possible to test complete transport boxes. It uses CO₂, which is already present as trace gas in many modified atmosphere packages, it is subsequently possible to test all packages shortly after they have left the packaging machines.

The table top LeakPointer is the smallest of the PBI-Dansensor range of on- and off-line leak testers for modified atmosphere packages where CO₂is a part of the gas mix.
